Who Is This Course For?

This Safeguarding Children training course is for anyone who needs to understand the roles and responsibilities for safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.

This course is essential for all staff whose work brings them into contact with children and is suitable for anyone who works in settings such as: - schools, correctional facilities, universities, sports clubs, GP surgery or other healthcare setting.

What to expect from your training

You will join other participants in a fully interactive virtual course, delivered in real time by an experienced trainer via webcam. The course includes interactive elements such as group discussions and opportunities to ask questions, creating a classroom-style experience from home.

To take part, you will need:

A Laptop, Tablet, or Smartphone with access to the latest version of Zoom
A stable internet connection
A working microphone and camera
Speakers or headphones

Please make sure you are in a quiet environment to fully participate in the course.

Course Etiquette

Treat the virtual classroom as you would a physical classroom: dress appropriately, and ensure your face is visible on screen at all times.
Active participation is mandatory throughout the course, including all breakout rooms and chat discussions.
You may not leave the course for appointments and re-join later, nor attend the course while traveling to or during appointments.
You must not engage in any work during the course. Sleeping during sessions is strictly prohibited.
Eating is only allowed during scheduled breaks.
Maintain proper posture at all times for safety and to support prolonged periods at a computer
