The aim of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is to enhance the quality of life and well-being of individuals with challenging behaviours by promoting positive, proactive, and evidence-based interventions.
It seeks to understand the underlying causes of challenging behaviours and develop personalised strategies to address them effectively. PBS is a person-centred approach to care, providing long-term support to those with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and autistic people.
This course is suitable for healthcare professionals or caregivers with the responsibility of caring for individuals who display challenging behaviour.
